Food Festival Ambassadors
We are looking to recruit around 10 volunteer Food Festival Ambassadors at the forthcoming Shipston-on-Stour Food Festival 2023.
Job Description
Your role at the event must be flexible and responsive to need, but will include being available to offer help or advice to visitors, assisting organisers with any issues arising, taking photos, posting to social media, selling raffle tickets and supporting Lion members on one of the Lion Club stalls. You may also have ideas of many other ways in which you can help on the day. We anticipate that you will work in pairs and will be able to access a two-way radio so that you can ask for support from organisers if you need.
Specifications
You will be an enthusiastic person of 16 or over, with good inter-personal skills and a willingness to be flexible and responsive to situations, who views spending a day as a volunteer helping and supporting at the Shipston Food Festival 2023 as an exciting work experience opportunity. No previous experience is required, just an eagerness to support a local community event where all profits go to charitable causes. By applying for this role you must commit to:
• Attending a briefing meeting prior to the event in Shipston-on-Stour. This will brief on timings, health and safety, Risk Assessment, individual roles etc. as well as providing an opportunity for answering any questions.
• Remaining at Shipston-on-Stour from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 10th September 2023 as a Food Festival Ambassador and wearing a Food Festival T-shirt to promote your role to visitors and the organisers.
In return for your effort and commitment, we will provide you with lunch and a statement for your CV to confirm your participation in the event.
